Who We Are

As our family hails from both the Marche and the Maremma, our style of living and hospitality  reflect the qualities of both cultures in terms of generosity, professionalism, enthusiasm and respect for tradition. Casale Poggio Nebbia is a very peaceful locality which has a gentile and spontaneous style of hosting guests.  Our family is well aware that we, ourselves, are guests upon these magnificent hills - lands which we have the divine fortune to call, “Home”.  This love of the land is our gift to share with our welcome guests.

The very soul our farm is its capacity to bring out the unique qualities of each person who works with us, just like in a large extended family. Each staff member gives their very best to provide our guests with a pleasurable and natural experience of life in the countryside. The land, itself, is sometimes rough and rugged, but one that has a generous heart. Poggio Nebbia is a special ambient where our guests feel “at home” and an integrated part of the life here. It is a place where the land and traditions are respected and by so doing, the future is nourished.

Behind the scenes at Casale Poggio Nebbi, there are many faces of special people who embrace the values of this land and whose ideas are shared in common.

There are the diligent hands of Orietta and Valentina who discreetly take care of the rooms and the shared common spaces throughout the farm.

There’s Anna, Marco, Alessio and Dino who ardently tend to the land, the gardens, the surrounding lawns, vineyards, olive groves and fields of grain.

There’s also Niresh who is an excellent server in the restaurant, along with Marco, the barman who has an infinite desire to experiment with new cocktails. And of course, there’s the “Grand Conductor” of Poggio Nebbia - Anna, who has had the vision and tireless dedication to the essence of the farm in every single detail, the one who also creates and prepares the scrumptious food that is served in our Panoramic Restaurant.

Each one of us has chosen to be here – where we all share common roots and where others have found a place to call “home”. You need only to chance upon our hillside farm to understand why we have made this choice. It is a little slice of heaven.

Ever since our inception, we have always worked with passion and love for the earth. The fruits of our labor have been transformed into products of the highest quality that offer genuine flavors from this corner of the Maremma  - a land kissed by the sun and soothed by the gentle sea breezes.

Come and visit us! You can taste our extra-virgin olive oil, our premier wines and our pastas and baked goods, whose flavors attest to the natural whole grains we’ve cultivated and harvested on our 60 hectares of land.

We look forward to welcoming you with open arms.  Perhaps you will find us working in the fields or with our hands immersed in flour as we make our homemade pasta.  These are the things we do best.

We put all of our love into the work that we do here.  It is a labor of love that we have chosen and have fought for – in every gesture and in every detail. It is reflected in the first smile of the morning to the final handshake upon your departure. You can feel that love in each unique recipe that is served at your table, in the drinks and appetizers that we organize in the balmy summer evenings to share that remarkable pleasure of watching the flaming sun set into the deep blue sea - just beyond our rolling hills.

The explosion of colors both at dawn and at sunset can be deeply appreciated from our Butterfly Garden in the right company and with a glass of our delectable wines.  Finally, day ends and peace descends, granting a lightness of being.

You will be delighted by the exaltation of flavors that exudes from our delicious dishes in the Dining Sala, or from our carefully cultivated products that can be delivered directly to your home.

Your senses will by stimulated by the natural perfumes and aromas of the Mediterranean bush lands that surround our farm. You will feel compelled to relax, spend quiet and intimate moments with those people you cherish most.

Here, nature is Queen and teaches us that with care, patience and knowledge, there is always a way to allow her to flourish, and that all of us together can truly make a difference to restore the reign of Mother Earth.
